A lot of people in Terwijde are socially active. We are looking for these people and we call them BUUR (NEIGHBOUR). A BUUR knows their neighbours well and is actively involved in his or her street or appartment. A BUUR talks to a lot of people in their street, knows their concerns and strengths and is also aware of people that might need an extra hand. The BUUR is inclined to do something extra for people living nearby, or to improve their environment.

We would love to get in topuch with these people to connect with them. We won't ask them to undertake additional activities, because they are already active for others. We just want to know wherede BUUR lives so that we can send them ourt news letter or inform them in case of a calamity in the neighbourhood. We are also eager to know what their concerns and projects are. A BUUR can be a contact for a street or part of it, or for an appartment building. There can be more than one BUUR in a specific area. 

How do you participate? You can either register yourself as a BUUR, or you can suggest someone else. Please make sure that your neighbour is OK with that! We have a registration form for both situation, in order for our network to get better and stronger.
